At PURE (Plastic Usage Reduction & Elimination), we are a passionate nonprofit organization committed to creating a cleaner, healthier planet by eliminating plastic from our everyday lives. Founded under the support and guidance of Sol Collaborative, we are proud to be a student-run initiative focused on practical, sustainable solutions.
Our mission is simple but urgent: to reduce the use of plastic and ultimately eliminate its harmful impact on our health and environment.

Our Mission
PURE(Plastic Usage Reduction & Elimination) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing and eliminating plastic. No matter who you are or where you live, plastic is in your body. Our nonprofit organization aims to change that by reducing plastic consumption, which, in turn, also reduces plastic production.
Partner/Sponsors
Sol Collaborative is our parent company and while operating under their jurisdiction, they have given us the opportunity to take advantage of their 501(c)(3) certification so that we are able to take in donations that can be deducted from our sponsors’ taxes. They have given us a platform where we can provide our service in a way.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our aim is to reduce the production of new plastic by not buying any new plastic products, but we also want to make the best of the existing plastic, preventing them from going to waste and filling landfills.
The steel cutlery and pouches are reusable which makes it a long-term investment whereas the plastic cutlery is use-and-throw. So, it would be better to buy the steel cutlery than buying the plastic cutlery multiple times.
There will be an option to add a straw for an extra (small) price.
